Subway (Métro de Paris).

The most popular transport of Parisians and city visitors was opened in 1900. today it has fourteen “big” (1 – 14) and two “small” (3-bis, 7-bis) lines – old wings of the 3rd and 7th lines: 300 stations (62 interchange stations); average distance between the stations is about 500 meters. Also there is a system of city trains RER (Réseau express régional d’Île-de-France).

Parisian subway works from 5:30 to 00:30. Fare: price of a single ticket is 1,7 Euro (there are a huge list of travel documents on terms of validity). Tourists may buy special tickets Paris Visit for until 5 days of activity. Children under 4 years old use the metro for free, tickets for children of 5-10 years old – 50% of adult tickets.

Buses.

This transport in Paris is not so popular as, for example, in London, but in any case it’s a good option to discover the city. The evident drawback – traffic during the rush hour just drags.

The tickets are sold at a driver; one-way ticket is 1,7 Euro. Paris Visit tickets are valid for buses.

Parisian public buses run from 6:00 to 20:30; some bus routes don’t work on Sundays and holidays.

Trams.

As a matter of fact, Parisian trams – not the very developed transport in the city. Nowadays there are four lines (T1, T2, T3, T4), this is much less than subway, RER and buses.

Taxi.

Taxi ranks in Paris are marked with a blue road sign “TAXIS”.

River bus.

This kind of transport is not just a transportation, this is a pleasant and enthralling tour on Seine when you will discover a history of Paris, because the ticket allows you to leave a ship and come up back unlimitedly during a day.

Working time: 10:00-19:00 (21:00 in June-September), regular cruises – every 25 minutes.

Tickets at Batobus ticket offices. Cost: 1-day adult – 11 Euro, 1-day child – 5, 2-day adult – 13, 2-day child – 7.

Night buses (Noctilien).

There are 42 lines of Noctilien network whose buses runs from bus stations, metro, RER, railway stations Ile-de-France every night from 00:30 until 05:30. ParisVisite tickets are valid.

Bicycles.

Since the summer of 2007 the city system of bicycle rent operates in Paris – Velib. Every Parisian and visitor of the city may rent a bicycle at one of numerous automatic post around all the city (more than 1500 now).

It’s profitably to use these bicycles if you have a special subscription for Velib – in this case one day of rent will cost 1 Euro. If don’t – the rent will be more expensive. That’s why, if you have friends in Paris, ask them to make it for you in advance.

Transport to Parisian Disneyland

The most easy way to get to the most popular amusement park is to use RER trains and go to station Marne-la-Vallée / Chessy.

There is not a bus connection with Paris.
