Skating rink on the Eiffel Tower will be opened in the middle of December

Nobody can imagine Paris without the Eiffel Tower long ago. It’s not only the main symbol of France and its capital. Moreover, this one of the most famous architectural structures of the world has popular restaurants, cafes, shops, museums; what makes it more interesting for tourists.

Since 2006 the skating rink is open every winter at the first floor of the Eiffel tower. It opens before the Christmas holidays. Fortunately, the repair of the tower, scheduled for the beginning of January 2012, will not affect the plans of the organizers of this entertainment.

This winter the guests of Paris will be able to skate at a height of 57 meters from December 15 to January 31.

During the skating visitors can enjoy not only a beautiful panorama of Paris, but also an enthralling show. The special interactive systems project bright images onto the ice, which are replaced depending on the movement of the skaters.

The area of the rink is 200 square meters. 80 people can be on the pitch at the same time.

The ice rink will be open from 10.30 to 22.30. It’s absolutely free – services of the rink are included into the entrance ticket to the Eiffel Tower. You will also get skates for free.
