The Clown Bar

Paris is original itself but, agree, it’s fine to discover something striking and truly unusual. In the city there is a lot of restaurants and bistros for any taste, but today we can’t pass by a unique Clown Bar in the 11th arrondissement of the capital.

Probably, someone knows this once popular place located near the legendary cirque Circus d’Hiver founded as far back as the middle of the 19th century. Though, the Clown Bar has changed its owners, lived over the rooms reconstruction, fully changed the menu…

However, there are invariable things 🙂 The restaurant managed to keep a wonderful atmosphere of cirque in its interiors – fun and irony, reality and illusion. Oh yeah, and the famous terrace is in its place.

We’re not going to tell about the cuisine peculiarities of the bar or about its wine list. We just want to say, ‘In Paris there are still places distant from a mass globalization, not striving to combine incongruous things and to be a sort of “unisex”’.

The Clown Bar is different, it’s special (like Jose Mourinho 🙂 ), already modern a little but still vulnerable and naive…
