Spring of the Renaissance at the Louvre

The Louvre continues to keep its reputation as one of the most interesting museums in the world. It offers visitors new art collections. Tomorrow, September 26, 2013, a grandiose exposition dedicated to the Renaissance will appear at the museum.

“Spring of the Renaissance” (Le Printemps de la Renaissance) exhibition touches a relatively short but very important and productive time period (1400-1460) for the history of the world art. The main part of the collection presented at the Louvre consists of sculptures of such famous masters of the Florentine school as Nanni di Banco, Donatello, Desiderio da Settignano, Lorenzo Ghiberti.

Remarkably, Paris hadn’t seen such a huge exhibition of real masterpieces of the Florentine Renaissance since the distant 1935. Totally 140 works of art will be shown to the visitors of the Museum.

The exhibition “Spring of the Renaissance” will last till the 6th of January 2014.
