If you are a connoisseur of the work of Edgar Degas, then we advise you to visit Paris from 13 March to 30 June. At this time the exhibition of the great master “Degas and Nude” will be organized in the halls of the Museum d’Orsay. This is the first exhibition of his works in Paris for the last 25 years, the previous one was at the Grand Palais.

The Museum continues to introduce Parisians and visitors the brightest representatives of visual art of the second half of the 19th century. The exhibition “Degas and Nude” will be next after large exhibitions of Edouard Manet and Claude Monet.

Edgar Degas (born Hilaire-Germain-Edgar De Gas) is considered one of the brightest and most talented representatives of impressionism. He turned to many topics in his art, in particular, a part of works was devoted to café chantant, dancers, horse races, nude. Bibliographers of his life hushed up often these details of biography of the painter, and members of his family even had destroyed some of the works. They were trying to protect the image of the artist from any negativity in this way.

Now the Museum d’Orsay offers for all comers this little known collection among even art lovers. The Museum will show guests drawings, paintings, etchings, engravings, photos, pastels, sculptures in the nude style by the master. Also during the exhibition you will have opportunity to take part in organized thematic tours “Degas and Nude”.
