The Throne Fair – the oldest and biggest in Europe. This year, the posters, inviting Parisians and guests of the French capital to make family visits to enthralling rides in the Bois de Vincennes, have a majestic inscription “50-year anniversary”. However, history of La Foire du Trône has its roots in the far 957 – that is the fair is more than a thousand years old. Half a century ago, tradition to hold grandiose street festivities with rides and sweets in Paris was revived.
So, what is waiting us in 2013? Of course, one of the main attractions of the Throne Fair – the famous Ferris wheel, riding which you can see all the beauty of Paris. Also there are rollercoaster, ghost houses, and other interesting places for lovers of exciting experience and less extreme entertainments for children.
It goes without saying, you will see a huge number of shops and booths with cotton candy, Belgian wafers, apples in caramel, and many another sweets.
La Foir du Trone will work from March, 29th to May, 26th in the 12th arrondissement of Paris at Pelouse de Reuilly in the Bois de Vincennes. The fair’s working time: 12.00 p.m. – 12.00 a.m. daily, on Saturdays and on the holidays — until 01.00 a.m.
Tickets’ price is 29,90 Euro. It includes 10 tickets to some of popular rides and discounts for other ones, 15% discount at confectioneries, a free drink and so on. You may use for several visits of the fair.
