Student rental lease

Student rental lease agreement is a contract in which several parties, the owner or his agent on one hand, the tenant(s) on the other, define the terms and conditions of a property rent as a main or secondary residence in exchange for a financial compensation.

Form and content of the student rental agreement

A student furnished rental lease must be established in writing and signed by all parties to be valid.

Duration of the student rental lease

Unlike the classical furnished rental lease, the duration of this lease is 9 months and it is non-renewable, whether the owner is an individual or a company.

Terms of termination for the owner

The notice must be made at least 3 months before the end of the lease. The termination must be justified:

  • By a sale;
  • By a purpose of accommodating his family;
  • For a legitimate and serious reason (in the event of repeated delays in payment, for example).

Terms of termination for the tenant

The notice must be made at least one month before the desired date of termination. This termination can be given without any reasons and at any time.

Terms of termination for each party

The termination is notified by sending a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. The termination process is set from the date of receipt of this letter.
