What’s interesting in Paris in February 2015

If you are planning a trip to Paris but has not still decided on the time, we offer you some information about interesting events that will take place in the city in February 2015. And, perhaps, you will come to the French capital this month.

Let’s start.

Skating rink on the Eiffel Tower

Eiffel Tower skating rinkThe ice rink on the Eiffel Tower will continue its work till the 15th of February. If you want not only to get up this magnificent building and look at Paris, but also to skate on the height of 57 meters (the first level of the tower), be sure to take this advantage. Taste hot chocolate and delicious mulled wine in the local bar, take beautiful photos, and simply give yourself a bit more of Christmas spirit.

La Scala in Paris

GiselleAs we’ve already written in our blog, after a long absence in Paris a ballet troupe of the legendary La Scala of Milan will come to the city with its Giselle show – one of the most famous and popular ballet performances in the world.
Giselle ballet by La Scala can be seen on January 31 – February 8 at the Parisian Palais des Congres.

Tango in Bobino

Tango in ParisIf you’re a fan of the passionate Argentinian tango, go to the music hall Bobino, where the famous (we can even say one of the best in the world) Sexteto Tango Pasion group performs the program Symphony of Tango (Sinfonia de de Tango) from January 20 to February 8. Be sure, you’ll get great emotions and, what more important, brighten your stay in Paris.

Skating in front of the City Hall of Paris

Ice rink Hotel de VilleAnd we are again about a skating rink in Paris 🙂 This time, enjoy this activity in the city center exactly in front of the City Hall (Hotel de Ville) at Place de Greve. If you do not consider yourself a master of skates, professional instructors are ready to help you. The ice rink will be open till the end of February.

New exhibition at the Rodin Museum

Rodin LaboratoireDo you love sculpture and works by Auguste Rodin in particular? If you do, we would encourage you to visit the museum of the great master in Paris, where a very interesting exhibition “Rodin: the laboratory of creation” takes place. The event organizers offer to get to know the unknown materials (sketches, photos, descriptions), showing how many of his works, including the most famous sculptures, were created.

Christian Lacroix: Enlightenment

Christian Lacroix - Cognacq-JayChristian Lacroix — a very well known person in the world of fashion. The fashion designer expands the horizons of his activities and continues to delight admirers of his talent with new works. Now the couturier has moved his creativity to the halls of the Cognacq-Jay museum, where he added bright colors offering an interesting exposition of a costume. Come, you will not regret! The exhibition Christian Lacroix: Enlightenment will last till the end of the second decade of April.

Maillol Museum: Borgias portraits

BorgiasBorgia. Surely, you know this name, at least the famous TV show with the same name. Members of this family have played a major role (not always positive) in the history of Europe. But how much do we know about them? In the Parisian Museum of Maillol, the exhibition (until February 15) of Borgias portraits are exhibited, and some of them were painted by the greatest painters, such as Michelangelo, Raphael and Leonardo.
