The 19th Jazz Festival in Paris will start on the 8th of June in 2013. 31 open-air concerts will be held during 8 week-ends from the 8th of June to the 28th of July 2013. The fact that the performances will be held in the park is especially enjoyable because it seems that the weather in Paris is getting better and becomes similar to summer time.
The festival will be held in the Botanical Garden (Parc Floral de Paris), in the Bois de Vincennes in the 12th arrondissement of Paris at weekends. So they will organize not only concerts, but also 2 non-stop performances during the whole night till sunrise.
The festival will be open with the clarinet performance by Yom and will be closed on July 28th with the demonstration of the silent film “Body & Soul” accompanied by live music.
The entry fee to the park for the whole day is only 5.5 EUR. The sum includes the price of the concert ticket. During the first half of a day you can relax in the garden, and in the evening you will be immersed in the fascinating world of jazz, carrying us to the birthplace of this music.
Why Jazz Festival in Paris 2013 is different?
- None of jazz music forms will be left without attention.
- There will be two night concerts opening and closing the festival.
- Two days, July 13 and 14, of the Jazz Festival have been called by organizers “revolutionary”, as the “Interactive ball” with numerous dance shows, performances of accordionists and r’n’b artists is going to be carried out.
To sum up, spend this precious time outdoors with your friends or family, listen to good music, and enjoy Paris Jazz Festival!
