Paris is attractive in any season of the year. It is the city with beautiful architecture, colorful cabarets, famous boutiques and shopping centers… However, perhaps, most importantly – Paris is constantly in the center of cultural life, because Paris is art… Art forever!
And November is not an exception. If you are already in Paris or are going to go there soon, you can visit very interesting and fascinating events.
So, for example, today – November 9 – two excellent exhibitions related to photography start their work.
9-12 November. Paris Photo – the main salon of the world of photography at Grand Palais, where this year, works of the world’s leading masters are represented, whose collections brought to Paris by 140 galleries from 34 countries.
9-13 November. Another photo event – Salon de la Photo at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles – a place where amateurs and professionals meet; novelties of photographic equipment; thematic conferences.
Paris and fashion, fashion and Paris… It is impossible to pass by the exhibition devoted to the 70-years anniversary of the fashion house «Dior» at the Museum of Decorative Arts (Musee des Arts Décoratifs, 107 rue de Rivoli). More than three hundred exhibits will please real connoisseurs of fashion and fans of the brand, in particular. The exhibition «Christian Dior» is already open and will last until January 7.
Claude Manet is a man-mountain in the world of fine arts, but «Monet – the collector» (this is the name of the exhibition at the Museum of Marmottan – Musée Marmottan Monet, 2 rue Louis Boilly) is not so widely known. The great master collected paintings during all his life, and everyone has the opportunity to get acquainted with his complete collection until January 14.
«L’art du pastel de Degas à Redon» | «The art of pastels from Degas to Rodin» – at Petit Palais (2 avenue Winston Churchill) – an interesting exhibition of the works of many famous masters of different styles – from impressionism to symbolism. Totally, 150 works of art are presented.
«Gauguin» – l’alchimiste | «Gauguin — the alchemist» (Grand Palais, Avenue Winston-Churchill) – the exhibition is open from October until January 22. More than two hundred works by Paul Gauguin, created by the master in various techniques, which will fully show the genius of the author.
