The first feature film – the legendary “Arrival of a Train” (L’Arrivée d’un train en gare de la Ciotat) – was shot by the Frenchmen – Lumière brothers. So, it is not surprising that the largest cinema of Europe is located in the heart of Paris.
The famous Grand Rex has 2650 seats. The program of the movie theater includes not only film screenings and concerts of the world stars. Guide will lead you through the building of Grand Rex, built in 1932 in an elegant Art Deco style and included to the list of historical monuments of the French capital in the 1980’s.
After that you will become a participant of an interactive show Les Etoiles du Rex. For an hour you will get behind the scenes of filmmaking, learn how to create special effects and other interesting things.
Excursions are accessible every day from Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 19:00. During the Christmas holidays Les Etoiles du Rex will be open daily.
Tours will be held on 18, 20-23, 27-29 of December.
And if you decide to go to Paris in the spring in April you will be able to get on the world’s largest festival of adventure and research films Jules Verne Adventure Film Festival, which also takes place at Grand Rex.
