Famous Throne Fair in Paris

The Throne Fair (“La Foire du Trône”) has being held in France from a distant 957. This year’s event, which is already 1055 years old, will last until the 3rd of June.

It’s rather easy to find time to visit it even for the busiest and indefatigable travelers who spend their vacations in Paris. Working time of the fair – daily from 12:00 am to midnight. During the weekend rides (La Foire du Trône has about three hundred) are available even later – until one o’clock in the morning.

Those lucky people, who have visited the fair in previous years, mark out among the rides, of course, a roller coaster – the highest in Europe. Also you have to visit Laser cinema “Psychedelic”, where you’ll become the main character of a real movie. And if you will not get enough impressions – welcome to the 60-meter swing “Star Flyer” and “V Max” catapult.

Certainly, there is Ferris wheel here, enabling to see Paris from a height. But in contrast to previous rides – this happens in a relaxed atmosphere.

All these entertainments are complemented with a variety of shops, stores and stalls with souvenirs, lotteries, candy floss, Belgian waffles, cakes and other sweets.

The fair is located in the 12th District at “Pelouse de Reuilly” area in the Bois de Vincennes. The entrance fee – 29.9 euros; rides tickets – from 2 to 10 euros.

This year the organizers expect the fair to be visited by more than 2 and a half million people. It is planned that every weekend 180,000 people will come to “La Foire du Trône”. So, probably, if you want to visit this place – the best decision is to choose a weekday, when the lines for attractions and shops will be slightly smaller.
