Cartier – the true icon of style and splendour. And this year is the 160th anniversary of the famous brand! In honour of this significant date the Paris Grand Palais has opened the exhibition of jewelry created by the company during long years of its life.
The exposition contains several hundreds of exhibits displayed in a strict chronological order from the moment of Cartier’s establishing in the middle of the 19th century so far.
Visiting Cartier Style and History exhibition in Paris you get a possibility to look at a plenty of interesting items that can be safely called real works of art: pearl tiaras, armlets of Art-Deco epoch, stunning ruby and diamond scarabs; adornments made for Hollywood celebrities and other famous persons. And the gem of the exhibition is a necklace encrusted with huge beautiful diamonds, which was created specially for Indian Maharaja of Patiala.
However, not only jewelry is demonstrated at the exhibition. The organizers of Cartier Style and History also offer to evaluate decorative items and different kinds of famous watch which have become a true classic already.
Cartier Style and History will last until February 16. The exhibition works from 10-00 am to 08-00 pm every day (except Tuesdays); ticket price – 13 Euro.
