A Paris Museum will be turned into the old Venice

Venice will become the theme of Christmas exhibition at the famous Parisian museum of a fair art – Musée des Arts Forains de Bercy.

Halls of the permanent exhibition at Musée des Arts Forains has bright names “Theatre of miracles” and “Salon Carousel”. A feature of the museum is a unique exhibition of the best examples of street entertainments of the XIX century Paris – game machines, carousels and others. At the same time, the exhibit is not hidden from visitors with protective glass or barriers – everything can be touched.

For example, you can also enjoy riding on a carousel, which made Parisians happy more than a century ago.

At Christmas and New Year holidays Musée des Arts Forains will be turned into a little Venice. Decorators reproduce the atmosphere of Venetian festivals in XV-XVI centuries. Every half an hour various shows will be held, and all the visitors will be offered to participate in.

The museum is located in a house built by a pupil of Gustave Eiffel more than a century ago. It was a wine storage that time. It is on the right bank of the Seine at the street that belonged to the working-class districts of Paris. Nowadays this is one of the most popular routes for wealthy Parisian walkers.

The opening – on December 26, and the exhibition will last until the 6th of January. Working hours: from 10.00 to 18.00. Ticket price: adults – 12 Euros, children under 12 years old – 5 Euros.
