July 14 in Paris

Yesterday, 14th July, Paris celebrated the national holiday, Bastille Day. The day ended with a grand firework which is famous all over the world.

In anticipation of the fireworks several metro stations were closed as they were unable to cope with the surging flow of people. All the neighborhood of the Eiffel Tower was filled with people. At the Champ de Mars and the Trocadero the apple was nowhere to fall. To have your place you had to arrive at least 1-2 hours before the performance.

Note that yesterday’s show included not only fireworks but the light and sound performances.

In our opinion, the fireworks near the Eiffel Tower, is one of «must do» events for tourists. Especially, if to take into consideration the fact that last few years the fireworks are organized only once a year in July!
